After a week with the kids home from school, and the home improvement project finally in the clean up stages, I'm ready for a little R&R. The sun is shining and the weather man is promising temps near 80 (not the norm for April in my neck of the woods) so I am officially goofing off today!

You really deserve a day off! Love the lilacs! Are they blooming in your area? Mine barely have buds!
No, mine are barely budding as well, but the weather has been so warm I'm getting anxious.
Usually around mid-May, just in time for our lilac festival, they bloom. But because I'm a bit colder here near the lake and a bit more shady, mine are always at least a week behind schedule.
I love the lilacs. Ours are just beginning to bud. I did transplant five of them yesterday. Tiny things now but I know they'll grow.
