Veteran's Day

Please stop by and visit the Scandalous Victorians today for my blog on Veteran's Day.

Click here to sing along with Toby Keith. This song always makes me proud to be an American and proud of what our troops have accomplished. May we support them, not just on Veteran's Day but every day.

Thanks and great blog. I'm a disabled vet (Air Force for hearing loss that's service connected). So is my hubby. We appreciate your kind words about vets.

BTW I've nominated you for the "I Love Your Blog" award. The icon's on my blog so come and get it.

My dad was in the Korean war and my son in Iraq, my SIL is in the Coast Guard so we are a heavy military family.

LOL Ashley, you beat me to it. A heavy work schedule kept me from putting up the award I got last week from Sarita and nominating you, LOL.

I'm glad you appreciate the kind words about vets--I humbly appreciate your service and sacrifice! I have a nephew heading off to Iraq in a matter of weeks, so my mind is on our men and women in service and what they go through more than ever.

Paty, my dad wasn't a vet, but his older brother was. Dad wanted to enlist, but once his older brother got drafted he had to leave school to stay home and work the family farm. We definitely grew up in our house withe message of duty to county and family first.

Wow, I can't believe I missed this post when it came out! I'm a firm supporter of all the men and women of the U.S. military, whether active or retired. Without them, we wouldn't be where we are today. My cousin was a young Westpoint grad when he was called to Desert Storm. He came home safely, thank goodness. I'll keep your nephew in my thoughts.
